Well, that didn’t take long. After the daunting wait for new AirPods 2, the rumors are saying that AirPods 3 could launch as early as late this year.

Ming-Chi Kuo released a new note today with details on the next version of AirPods.

He claims that there will be two new models this fall or early next year. One will be an update to the AirPods that are currently out while there will be a new pair of AirPods that have a new design. Using another rumor from Digi Times these new models could bring Noise-Cancellation and a higher price. It would be a dream to have NC on a pair of these, but I’m not sure how much daily use that would get.

It is hard not to feel a little burned by the AirPods 2. I love these things but after waiting so long just to see another update due out this year doesn’t feel good. I’m sure that part of the hold up on the second version was the work on AirPower that ultimately came to nothing.
