I have done pretty well the last few months since my kids went back to school, posting something every week. This week, I didn’t reach that goal, but still, I I wanted to post something!
While there are several issues at play here, my Disney World write-up has become so extensive that it’s consuming my time. It’s around four thousand words already, and I’m not done yet. It will require some trimming up.
Also, on the personal side, my kids had Tuesday off from school and the weather feels so good outside that we spent all day outside with friends. We also had Halloween last week, which took a lot of time up too.
I’ve also had a litany of doctors’ appointments. Last week, I had a spot on my face frozen off because it was pre-cancerous. A month ago, I had some stomach issues, which were diagnosed as an ulcer, so I had a consultation with a gastroenterologist. Next week, I have both a dentist appointment and an endoscopy scheduled. I’m not sure how much time I’ll have next week either. All of this is reminding me why I took last November off from writing—all of this plus my oldest’s birthday at the end of the month.
On the work front, I have multiple fiction stories written; they just need editing and some peer review. I recorded my first podcast with Adventures and Mousecapades. I had a blast with it and it has me wondering if I can start a podcast, but I feel like would need someone to help me host it. Still, something to think about for later.
I also have a new design for the website, which is half-designed. I haven’t had much time to spend on it in a few months, but I had hoped to have it out before October. That didn’t happen. I would love to get ahead of my blog posts to have some time to work on them, but I’m not sure that will happen until my kids can function independently after school. Itis challenging to fit all the things I have to do into the five-hour window when my kids are at school.

To put it another way, the site isn’t dead, far from it. Numbers are more consistent than ever and continue to grow. Thank you to those who have visited. I am making this a place you want to check out on a weekly basis.
Also, take a moment to read something from the site that you haven’t. I’ve put out my latest short story, Knock Knock, I’ve written about my new iPhone 17 Pro, AirPods Pro 3, and Apple Watch Series 10. I’ve also brushed up some older how-to posts, managingMastering Safari Tabs on iPhone and iOS 26 your Safari tabs on iPhone, and unlocking your Mac with Apple Watch.
If there are some how-tos you think would be helpful, I’d love to hear it so I can work on it!
Now, if you have made it this far, leave me a bit of encouragement on the message boards, on Threads, or Bluesky. Let me know you’re out there.
