Apple has refreshed the iPod touch today.
Apple has updated the processor to an A10 fusion chip, the same chip in the iPhone X.
Sadly, the iPod Touch doesn’t see any other updates. It still doesn’t have TouchID, much less FaceID. The top and bottom bezels are still there. The camera is still lower resolution than most.
However, with the new A10 chip inside, the iPod Touch should last for a while now, and be ready for iOS 13 this fall. It also brings AR to the iPod Touch in a better way.
You can still get the iPod in multiple colors, and there are 3 storage sizes 32 ($199) GB, 128GB ($299), and 256GB ($399). It is the smallest iOS device you can get currently.
