First off, thank you, everyone, that comes to the site.  I really appreciate you all. I’ve said it before and I will say is often, THANK YOU!

I want to talk about the state of the site as it is today…

Site

I’ve mentioned before that I started this site to be a place where I could post my writing samples to get my name out there.  One of the things I really needed to do was to actually write some, so I started to write a little bit about technology, mostly Apple.

After the iPhone event back in September, I got a little rush as my article about which iPhone to pick started to get some traction.  It was exciting, and I really enjoyed writing it, so I got the idea to really pursue doing this for a living.

Since then, I’ve been working my butt off trying to get articles written, learn about SEO, make things better and smoother on the site.  I’m still having a blast doing this, and I hope one day to make more than the almost $7 the site made last month.  

But right now, with my main job, this site, and the holidays, I’m tired.  

I’ve also started to struggle with finding something to write about 5 days a week.  I’m honestly surprised that I’ve kept it going this long.

I also want to learn more about running a website and make this the best place it can be for your technology and creative writing needs.  I just have to make time to learn more…

The Holidays

I’m not planning on cutting back on anything on the site, but like I mentioned, the struggle right now is slightly real.  I know that doesn’t seem like it since I just published 2 stories right before this one, but I got a little lucky when I got home today.

For the Holidays though, I think things might get scaled back a little bit.  I’m still going to try to post, and I have some giant articles that I want to write – like the State of the iPad, and a HomePod review.  Right now, those just seem very daunting with the stress of work.  But they will be out before the end of the year.

Guests

Next year, I’m looking for some guests to help me write on the site.  I’ve been saying that and courting some friends to help me write, but they haven’t jumped in yet.  Still, I would love some support on the site.  It would be nice to get more stuff published and for me not to be the only one doing it.

Videos

I still have plans of doing videos, but they have taken a back seat for now.  I didn’t realize how intensive making the videos would be when I said that I wanted to start doing them.  Kudos to those that do this daily and weekly.  

Hopefully, sometime next year I can reinvest my time into making videos again.  Between now and then though, you can probably expect a few smaller ones here and there.

Podcast

Finally, I have some ideas for a few Podcasts, and I hope to find the time to start them.  But I want to do them right and give them the time they need to make them good.

I really want this plan to happen, but right now I need help getting it all going.  I’m not going to ask for money or put up a paywall or anything, although if you’d like to contribute I do have a patreon started. I only ask that you keep spreading the word.  Keep helping me get the word out.
