How To Use Search on iOS – Tech Tip Tuesday

Every needed to find an app but couldn’t remember where you put it? Or maybe, you wanted to find out what someone’s e-mail address quickly. There’s an easy way to do all of these things. Use search on iOS to help you find anything you need quickly. The best part is you can use it on iPhone or iPad, the gesture is the same!

A Simple Swipe

Search can be very helpful, but you might not know how to get to it. Or maybe, you’ve gotten to it on accident and didn’t know what it was.

To start a search on any iOS device, all you have to do is swipe down with one finger from the middle of any of your Home Screens.

How to Search on iPad

The background will blur out, your keyboard will come up, you’ll have some Siri suggested actions.

Now type for whatever it is you want. If you’re looking for an e-mail address you can search for the person or if you’re looking for a certain app and you can’t remember what folder you left it in.

As soon as you start to type, you’ll begin to get results. You can also do this to search for apps on the App Store, locations on the map, websites, music, and many more.

It’s a very simple action that could add some speed to some of your daily routines!
